    Marvel/FOX deal "impossibility"

Fox controls the film rights to “The X-Men” and “The Fantastic Four.” Could you partner with them on a movie as you did with Sony?
It’s an impossibility at this juncture. We certainly have enough films to keep us busy for a number of lifetimes.
This is either a negotiation tactic or Marvel walked away. It's an about-face to all the thawing that's happened recently.

I mean, how is it now an impossibility when Marvel is directly involved with the Legion TV series, to the point where a lot of Singer/Kinberg's plans were scrapped in favor of Marvel's? Then add the swap of characters for GoTG and Deadpool...I'm guessing this has to do with Inhumans.

That "It's a TV series but see it in IMAX, and oh yeah, we're not really confirming Black Bolt, but we're letting other people say it, oh and this has nothing to do with Marvel's standalone Inhumans movie with Vin Diesel as Black Bolt, and Marvel won't confirm/deny FOX may actually own the Royal family via FF rights, just as they did Ego The Living Planet which Marvel said was a Thor villain" project sounds like a gauntlet thrown.

I think it's more of a wait and see move. With the current rumor about the X-Men being rebooted....again,my guess is they want to see what that will do.

^right, but they were supposedly the reason for a reboot. Singer and Kinberg wanted to just move onto New Mutants. Singer is gone from all X projects and Kinberg seems tenuous. Certainly looks like Fox wants something much bigger than Sony.

Marvel just needs to sue Fox for the rights back and be done with it. Enough is enough. I think Marvel has a definite case regarding Fox doing damage to their intellectual property with that crap FF movie.

Another X-Men reboot? I would be great if this time they start with the original lineup from the 1960s but I know that will never happen.
