Always did enjoy Byrne's run on MTU and this was one of the best,Last edited by emeraldknight47; Sep 22, '16, 6:18 PM.sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon. -
I know it was one of the one's I always grabbed when I got comics. Always seemed to have a fantastic cover. Some of the covers with monsters on them are worthy of framing! Sheer awesomeness to a grade schooler!Comment

Marvel TeamUp and Marvel Two in One were my gateways into the Marvel Universe. They always gave you a brief summary of guest hero & the villain's history & powers so you quickly got going. Plus most of the stories were one & done, but if not, they kept piling on more heroes to the tale. I think my favorite run was the issues Spidey travelled in time, meeting Deathlok & Killraven.Comment

^ yes!!! Two-In-One, as well!! (The Thing's gig like Team Up was for Spider-Man).
And remember the Super-Villain Team-Up? Marvel was really rockin' in the mid-70s. And then we got Power Man and Iron Fist a little further on. Good times!!!
On the DC side, I always liked my World's Finest and Brave and the Bold.
Even as a kid, I could distinguish all of these from The Avengers, JLA, and Teen Titans in that a team of two had an altogether different dynamic than a solo or full team. I couldn't have put my finger on as to the why, but I got the distinction.Comment

Really love this run on Marvel team up with Byrne and Claremont. It tends to get overshadowed by their X-Men run.

Loved Marvel Team-Up. Along with Marvel Two-In-One, it was a book I searched for every month.
(Similarly loved "DC Comics Presents" and "The Brave and the Bold" for the monthly team up action)...
Some of my favourite MTU issues:

Man, it's great seeing all those great covers again! Even better because I realize I still have all of 'em! I weeded out a lot of comics from my collection a few years back, but kept almost everything Spidey related and definitely kept any that Byrne worked on. I'll admit; I was (and still am, to an extent) a huge Byrne-head.sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Interesting to note early on, that it wasn't always just Spider-Man Marvel Teaming Up.
