Wonder Woman commission by Rich Buckler

Been while but I got another commission. May be the best one yet. While deciding on these things I try to chose a great combination of artist and character. Since I'm not plunking down the bucks to buy a Romita Spider-Man anytime soon or paying Neal Adams a ridiculous amount for a full figure Batman for example, decided to get another Wonder Woman, this time based on whose covers I liked best. The only instructions I gave was "70's Wonder Woman" and I really love the result.

    Nice!
Glad you opted for the classic chest emblem, rather than the hated (by me) WW!

      Awesome commission.

You mention it had been a while since you got one, and I am fairly new here, is there other threads showing off your other commissions?

Beautiful piece! It's a shame a lot of these classic artists aren't still working in the industry; they're contributions would be more than welcome to an old-time such as myself. Methinks the rigourous publishing schedules of books these days would likely hinder getting some of the past masters from doing a monthly book, but I would be more than willing to wait two months between issues just to see artwork produced in the "classic" style.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

After getting a Batman sketch by Neal Adams and a full Wonder Woman drawing by Jose Delbo, the next Hero I wanted to get was my favorite, Spider-Man. This presented a problem. How to get "My" Spider-Man whose look was created by John Romita, Sr. Of course the artist who took over for Romita, one of the all-time greats

Title says it all, I commissioned an original Wonder Woman drawing from the guy I consider THE Wonder Woman artist of the 70's Jose Delbo. He went above and beyond what I asked for and it's incredible that he's still this good in his 80's. (http://s354.photobucket.com/user/VintageMP/media/wwcom_zpsssemdsxn.jpg.html)

I also have a Neal Adams Batman head sketch but don't know what thread that's under.
