I'm expecting Justice League to be the Star Trek III of DC films.

I'm sure he'll get his big Jesus moment when he returns in the film... Snyder seems to really be pounding that metaphor for all it's worth in his films. Likely would undermine his Batman V Superman ending to make that reveal so early in the publicity campaign.

Since we all know Cavil is listed in the cast in the Justice League movies, I'm kind of expecting some kind of a third act resurrection before they give Superman a much larger role in the second instalment coming out in 2019.

Given how crowded these films tend to be, I'm actually kind of glad they are giving the others characters some room to develop out of his shadow, since we've already gotten to know this incarnation of Superman across two films already.

Break out the Martha shirts. One has to wonder if the suits didn't over-correct and make this a one-liner a minute movie. We'll see. Too early for me to really think about this one way or the other. Cosmetically I like Cyborg. Flash looks a bit shiny. It will take some adjusting for Aquaman. I'm too much of a traditionalist there.

This looks better than I expected. You can feel WB's heavy-hand in course-correcting Snyder's dystopian vision of the DCU, which no long jibes with what they want to do with the comics. This may be all the humor that is in the film, but even if it is, it has far more than the morbid BVS.

This promo image released yesterday show's Cavill with a slight smile on his fave. Who woulda thunk it?

Everything about this trailer feels like a reaction to B V S criticism. As if they're saying "See? We can be funny! Look how lighthearted and funny we can be! (Alright, Zac, do your thing...)" I predict I will like it more than BVS, but it will still be following Marvel instead of leading into its own territory. BVS was really a reaction to Man of Steel as if they were saying, "See? We can hold Superman accountable for all the damage and life loss!" Everything they do seems reactionary.

I''m hoping it's a swerve. Sell MarvelPop, deliver Watchmen 3.

I would not be shocked at all if Snyder - takes Aquaman's arm, blows up Cyborg, Speed Force-Kills Flash and Break Batman's back. Then has Wonder Woman smash Superman's grave, drag his body into the Black Zero birth waters and slits a b**b off like a real Amazon, to use her blood and resurrect Superman. Except he's Injustice Superman and after killing Darkseid, rules the Earth with the Justice Lords.

Everyone freaks out. And then it's announced he's directing the next sequels, Zach Snyder's Kingdom Come.

I've learned to be cautiously optimistic at best when it comes to DC movies, but I like what I'm seeing so far.

When? This is a trailer. Fans thought the studio would course correct after MOS and instead they doubled down, save for a few sad references about a vacant city when they fight. Perhaps it's just the cynic in me, but real change in a movie series usually comes when a new director is selected with a different vision and style. This will STILL be a Snyder film. He got help from all over in BVS, but at the end of the day his story telling skills were woefully lacking. How does injecting humor get him to resolve that issue? Is Justice League Snyder's first attempt at making a movie outside his own comfort zone and abilities? That's kind of what you're suggesting by watching a snippet of footage that is essentially just a color-by-the-numbers puff piece designed to placate the criticisms of the last film.
