Hmmm. He almost looks like the Jedi Rancor which if memory serves operated like a hand puppet for the mouth articulation.

All the previous Godzillas looked like a muppet...lol.

If it's a man inside a suit, people hate...if it's CGI, people hate.

Let's make up our minds, people...

It is the exact same thing we saw in the previous trailer save for some new f/x shots. Really not impressed at all. Looks like nothing we have not already seen with the 1990's and 2000's films. Not too fond of his "Cookie monster" look and he seems to have not much of any real movement except for his tail. The miss use of this music in the trailer over dubbing the whole thing does not help either

Can you tell that I am not enthusiastic about it

I really want a Godzilla movie that can recapture the essence of the '54 original which actually made Godzilla a big, scary, radioactive-fire breathing badarse. The American version from 2014 was OK had there been actually MORE Godzilla and had he not taken on the role of the "hero monster." Of course, there doesn't seem to be much more of Big G in the trailer for this movie either, so it could be that the shots you are seeing of him in the trailer make up his whole appearance in the movie...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Yep, this one isnt working for me. I thought this one was supposed to put the Japanese power in franchise to up the ante over the US one? I bunch of dudes having a discussion in an office boardroom is part of the trailer?

Godzilla's movement seems too static. Except for the tail flipping around a bit, and that last scene where he was shaking his head, it looks like they're dragging a prop around on a flatbed trailer.

That trailer is about 78% deficient in actual Godzilla footage. They may as well be fighting Jason Bourne.

I saw Shin Godzilla last night. It's basically a satire of the Japanese government's response to the 2011 Tsunami and resulting nuclear reactor meltdown. Very talky or I guess ready because of the subtitles. It's a new origin for Godzilla. I liked it, but it did get a bit long, and I could have done with more action.

I've heard it's talky, my 11 year old is dying to see it and it is a worry.

Hey, it's just like the old Godzilla films, 45 minutes of talking before a monster finally shows up. But yeah, this is a little more of a worry for the kids with the subtitles and all. It's playing in my neck of the woods too and I'm debating if I should take my kids to this (especially worried about my seven year old being bored).

Poor Ed, JUST missed this because of his trip, it was killing him.
