wow... that played in constant rotation along with Party Man back during the summer of Batman in 89. It was hard to miss!

You do know that Prince did an entire album "inspired" by the 89 Batman movie right?

this was among the first CD's I ever bought.

I realize why I missed all the extras, it was when I joined the Navy. With bootcamp, school and going overseas I missed out on most of it. I did not come back to the states will Batman Returns.

I'm not 100% on Scandalous getting an official release as a single, but it got a promo video. The Arms of Orion on the other hand got a release and never got a video.

Prince looked dead-on Bolland's Joker. He'd have been perfect...especially since Michael Keaton was also very short!

Loved the Prince "BATMAN" album! Listened to it almost non-stop the summer of '89 when BATMAN fever was seriously high! Me and a couple of friends of mine went up to the '89 Chicagocon and that CD never left the player that entire trip! BATMAN, in 70 mm on a huge screen in Chicago was quite a show, too!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

BATMAN was the last Prince album that I liked all the way through (a 9 album run ----10, if you count THE BLACK ALBUM---that began with DIRTY MIND). Interesting, yet pop craft-catchy songs, more based in rock than than the increasingly R&B offerings that followed.
