Here's the Flash by FTC

I removed the bulky gloves and replaced them with the red hands I think Mego would have been more likely to use. Also, I transferred him to a standard Doc Mego body. I'm not a fan of the fist fighter bodies at all.

The suit was a little baggy around the waist & hips, but a small piece of double sided tape fixed it to my liking.

The head had a nice sculpt and is actually molded in flesh color with the mask details painted on. The head is slightly oversized, but not to Alfred levels. One interesting thing about the head is that the neck post is quite a bit smaller than any other FTC figure I've had, so the head is very loose in the body. The turtle neck of the suit keeps it from being wobbly. The lightning bolt symbol was not applied that well and is starting to separate, so I'll be replacing it soon.

Despite a few QC problems, the Flash turned out pretty well if you don't mind making some simple adjustments for yourself.

Maybe Flash will have red hands in the FTC Flash line. Hope so.

I agree. Red hands all the way. The only change I wish they would have done is the neck line. I detest the turtleneck look. Would rather have a Spidey type neck line with a red body.

Yes, the lightning is heat applied and turned out pretty well.

Looks cool! But waiting for the regular Flash line. The uptick in cost for the fist-fighter bodies is not an attraction for me. I liked collecting those to revisit the original ones Mego did, but that's about where I ended it for myself. The actual Flash series should be tremendous. Looking forward to that line.

It's a great head sculpt and suit for him. I too added red hands which I hope is present for the regular release; it looks better than the gloves. I don't think of Flash as necessarily a 'punching' character, but I appreciate the option.

The only other thing that would put the figure over the top would be character-specific boots with the traditional 'wings' on the exterior sides.

I do want one of these, but I'll bet the Mattel Flash's head is smaller.

Yeah, the Mattel head is definitely scaled better, though the FTC head looks a lot better if it is turned to the side rather than straight on.

In the end, the head size was just okay enough to not be a deal breaker for me on this figure. I think the head and the suit would look even better on a larger body.

How is the lighting bolt symbol on other figures? I saw a Flash the other day and it looked great, but the white of the symbol looked spotty. It was *just* enogh to keep me from buying it.

Curious if symbol issues is a common problem.

The lightning bolt symbol on mine has tiny black spots all over the white part of it.
