You have melt around the neck stem where the head meets the neck?

Is it really necessary to remove the head because the body is broken and can't be fixed for example? If not, I wouldn't risk to remove it.
When I got my Invisible Girl (also grey head) I had to swap the body because it was on a straight arm body with one missing arm that I couldn't replace.
But the head of mine wasn't solid so it was easy to remove. Hopefully this will help you.
