    Monsters loose in Niagara Falls!

I know that Brian has already posted pics of some of these places in the past, but I took my son to a laser tag birthday party on Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls today and thought I'd share some pics of my favourite tourist traps/attractions there. I haven't been in the heart of the tourist area of the Falls for awhile, so I wandered around and it's nice to see that Clifton Hill, despite a lot of updates, still retains it's tacky tourist trap charm. And it's great to see that the House of Frankenstein and Castle Dracula are still around (I loved going to both places when I was a kid).

It's a family tradition to get photos of the kids in front of Dracula's Castle.

My daughter was scared just walking by those places, and both my kids told me that they will never want to go inside either one. That makes me sad inside.

Neato. Are they both dark rides? I visited the Falls in '76, age 8. I recall Ripley's and a wax museum but little else except the falls themselves.

I've never been there or seen the pics so thank you for posting them. Wow, I wish so much to visit a place like that!

I haven't been inside the House of Frankenstein and Castle Dracula since I was a kid, but they are/were just kind of a cheesy haunted house kind of thing, but very fun. A newer place just off of Clifton Hill, "Nightmares" is supposed to a more grown up, crap your pants haunted house. Haven't been there yet but I'm curious. The wax museum you went to was probably Madame Tussauds, it's still in the area but not on the Hill anymore.

The place I miss the most is the Niagara Falls Museum that used to be down the road a bit. It had the best collection of real Egyptian mummies that I have ever seen.

Never been to NF, either, so it is really cool to live vicariously through you guys! Looks like it's definitely the kind of place I'd like to visit!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I've taken my kids there three times and it never gets old. The Canadian side is way better than the American side! Everyone needs to visit at least once in their life. You won't be disappointed!
