The sculpts look all right, but the heads look to be oversized as usual. Even with that, I plan on getting at least Harry and Hermione. Maybe Draco as well. BUT, if they decide to do a 12 inch Hermione, I sincerely hope to God that they do NOT use that monstrosity of a body that was used for Daisy Duke! It's a giant sized version of the 6 inch girl body, which I think was copied from Topper's Dawn doll! The only difference is articulated legs!

It might be a generational thing. Us aged Megoheads didn't grow up with the lovable crew from Hogwarts. I did enjoy the films though.

My son wants 'em, so I'm in for all three. Think the likenesses are quite good, though always hard to truly appreciate until in-hand.

Are the 8" figures on adult or teen bodies?

I like them well enough. The sculpts are pretty good but yes, a little oversized. I am surprised that they didn't come in school sweaters and/or robes.

I am very disappointed that they didn't do Hermione. I'd guess it was the hair thing (molded vs hair) I can see that as being a challenge on a more realistic figure of this size. Also with the current female body the hand can't really hold a wand. Still, I'd hope they do a figure of her at some point.

I'm probably in for all 3 in 8" in hopes the line will continue. I'd also probably get the school sweaters and grey pants for each as an option. Maybe even a black cape to go over.

As far as sculpts go, I think Draco is my favorite. They others are ok, but don't stand out for me.

Not a huge Potter fan (did see the movies), but the figures aren't bad.

I asked FTC about Hermione being left out and they said,

Figures Toy Company- "Hermoine at this time will not be released."

Can someone clarify? Does this mean she is never getting a figure? How can you have HP figures and not make a Hermione?

I only made it through the first film. Not really my thing but I hope the fans of the movies support this line. I'm sure that license didn't come cheap.
