It does work. I don't see how you will use it on her since the hair will be a problem .

it does work. As Joe stated the hair is a problem. You'd have to probably de-root and then re-root the hair. Unfortunately re-root would have to be new hair and I son't know if there is a perfect match for her hair out there. I might be wrong.

You can try the magic marker and alcohol technique. I've never tried it on a mego with rooted hair. Use a search engine to find out how to use the technique, but it's pretty simple. Find a practice zombie head and then grab a bottle of rubbing alcohol, some q-tips and 3 or 4 magic markers (red, brown, and peach --sharpies work great). I'd start off lightly by putting just a few small dots on the q-tip and then put some alcohol on it. Rub the q-tip all over the zombified area and repeat until you've matched the desired flesh tone. It takes a little practice, but it's cheaper than platsi dip, faster and easier to manipulate the flesh tone.

i'll definately try that technique as re -rooting would be a nightmare.someone has tried to paint the head with flesh coloured acrylic paint and it comes off pretty easy the head underneath looks like a dark flesh and patchy grey.

I would try the plasti-dip before painting it. Re-rooting is a pain...but the plasti-dip will last a lot longer than a paint job will. Trust me on that. I've had degray's with plasti-dip last years without changing color again. It's worth it.

ok i've read that you should wrap the hair in tinfoil when spraying it.

you can also get the regular plasti-dip in a can and not the spray and then tie her hair up or wrap in foil then paint the plasti onto her face using a small paint brush.

The only problem with not de-rooting and then re-rooting is that if you use the method of tying her hair back you still have the problem of the gray still being in the scalp area. It will leach back to the other areas faster than if it wasn't done in one shot with taking all the hair out and then de-graying. De-gray works best if you get the whole head done in one shot instead of basically 60% done and leaving the rest hidden by the hair. Again, just a suggestion...but I'd go the way of the de-root and plasti dip de-gray and then re-root. It will last a lot longer in my opinion.

it seems to be the bottom half of the face that has lost it's colour the top half and back of the head seem fine, the hair is so thick you can't see the scalp so not sure if that is grey.

i did mines with Plasti-dip,..just tie her hair up, use blue painters masking tape and cover the nape of hair all around and the rest hold in place with enough paper to cover hair,..and instead of dipping it,..cover with Armour All and just spray the red on (available in Spray)if no spray available then dip it in the can...wait till dry and spray on some more, wait till it dried and spray more. leave it stuck in a pencil till it dries for a week.....you'll thank me for it! And no need of rerooting as long as tape is all around the nape of hair,..not allowing it to bleed, if it does,.just dip a Qtip in alcohol and wipe out.

I cut off the stem from a ballon and used it as a sort of "shower cap" for her head. Then did the plastic-dip thing. Worked great!
