Fox's The Rocky Horror TV Show

First I was curious just what Fox could do to expand the movie into a tv series and now that most of the cast has been named I will give it chance:

Eddie, Dr. Frank N. Furter's first ...Adam Lambert

The Rocky Horror Picture Show will be a two-hour taped event. It will be shot this winter and premiere in the fall. It is being executive produced by Lou Adler, Gail Berman and Kenny Ortega.

Why mess with perfection?

Why bother? Why is this lost generation so interested in DESTROYING the classics? In the last decade we have gotten some of the worst cinema thanks to fat and lazy Hollywood people who will milk anything for a buck. We have seen awful and UNECESSARY remakes of Friday the 13th,A Nightmare On Elm,Footlose, Street,Willy Wonka,Dark Shadows,Fright Night,21 Jump Street,Jem and NOT to mention dumb shows like Bates Motel,Fargo and a now a Friday the 13th series? Attempting to redo Rocky Horror Picture just ads to the mess and I'm sure IT WILL BE A PIECE OF GARBAGE starring a bunch of folks no one gives a fart about and Adam Lambert. Its pretty GODAWFUL he is singing lead for the band formerly known as QUEEN. Sorry, WITHOUT the late Freddy Mercury, there is NO QUEEN, its just Adam Lambert, winner of that karaoke hog wash show, American Idol. This generation is so bored to death that they will ruin anything they can get their hands on for a buck. Lost are the days when people would write new ideas and create them. We live in a "pain by numbers" world where mediocrity is king and laziness and greed are highly valued. Im sure that this atrocious and UNECESSARY movie will usher another CRINGE WORTHY soundtrack like that of the FOOTLOSE remake. Hollywood NEEDS to get a CLUE and get with the program already!!! The same can be said with other horrible ideas like last year's awful ANNIE and the upcoming wannabe Ghostbusters 3 monstrosity. Maybe next time they will remake Back To The Future with an Asian cast and The Color Purple with all white folks. This insanity has to STOP!

Tim Curry will play the Criminologist Narrator in the revival. Commenting on his “Rocky Horror” return, Curry said, “I am very happy and excited to be a part of this new event.”

I'm interested in seeing this. It'll have no effect on my enjoyment of the original. And I'm looking forward to seeing how Curry has recovered.

Wow, thanks for this trailer! Its just a ATROCIOUS as imagined it would be and then some. It's akin to the new wannabe Ghostbusters movie. I think I need a barf bagcub.jpg

I saw it. Enjoyed the music and seeing Victoria Justice in underwear. That's about it.

Yes, I watched. Tim Curry was a bit frail but gave it a good try. As for the others, I'd say it was a mostly talented cast in a mediocre production: Lots of homages to the original but little that was innovative or really engaging. I enjoyed the opening theatre sequence and the floor show the most. "Time Warp" was a mess. C+ on the Scott-O-Meter (yes, that's a real thing). I suspect I'd like to listen to the soundtrack more than ever viewing this again.
