and sequels generally do less box office than the original, so imagine how bad this will be. Fox will be paying people to see it.You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie Banks -
Of course, I doubt very much that will happen.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

I wouldn't count on a FF sequel just yet. I would imagine that the people at FOX in charge of dishing out money have to be smarting in the wallets a bit from the debacle FF was and might be wary of green lighting a sequel. How many movies have heard sequel talk of only to have said sequel never materialize.sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

What else is Kinberg going to say? He's getting paid, and wants to keep it that way. If he said "I don't know", Disney takes that as a breach and files for reclaim, while Fox fires Kinberg and sues him.
There won't be a sequel but they got five years to kick it around and that clock doesn't start until after FF leaves theaters. Surprisingly, it's still playing.
The new Marvel structure almost guarantees a shared rights deal, ala Spidey. Fiege started at Fox so he's not an outsider. When the Matthew Vaughn/Mark Millar/Kinberg troika gets fired - Vaughn company leaves Fox - we'll be on the cusp of a new announcement.
And don't be shocked now if Jackman shows up for Inifinity. Fiege's his buddy and it's the most likely make-good from each side. I expect huge announcements between Civil War and SDCC.Comment

I saw a Cake Masters show on Food Network where Stan Lee ordered a specialized FF cake for the movie cast. I told my son the cake cost more than the movie probably made.
There was definite sequel talk for Green Lantern, and I believe it did better at the box office than Fan4stic.

Other than that I can't see anything saving the franchise.
Anything FF is going to be toxic at the box office for the next decade.Comment

odds are that everyone of the principal cast and crew had multi picture deals that the studio pays whether they do it or not.Comment

Right after Green Lantern WB issued releases about a sequel too, and that seems just as far from happening as it did years ago when they talked about it. Announcing a sequel must be a chapter in a marketing strategy handbook for dealing with these franchise starters that fail, or something.Comment
