    CW Flash season 2:

    Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West.jpg

Well CW has cast Lonsdale’s West as Kid Flash. Wally West was Barry Allen’s younger nephew who became the young speedster Kid Flash. Wally was Barry’s sidekick until he became The Flash himself, following Barry’s death saving the multiverse (as teased in Harrison Wells’ newspaper headline from the future).

Lonsdale is best known for his work in the Divergent series, where he debuted as Uriah in Insurgent. He will reprise the role in Allegiant: Part 1.

I know there are a lot of DCU speedsters, but I'm a little concerned another one in TV's "The Flash" might dilute the focus of the show.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Another one, Jay Garrick is in this along with Zoom so that makes 4 speedsters.

Flash had a terrific first season, so I'm board with this.

Given the slow burn on turning Cisco into Vibe or Caitlin into Killer Frost, I'd hazard a guess that they are introducing Wally into the series first and establishing him as a character well before they turn him into Kid Flash?

Have they mentioned Iris having an older brother in the series? I like the idea of Wally having a troubled home life and being sent to live with Joe or Iris.

I also love the idea that they might be slowly assembling the Teen Titans... with Speedy on Arrow, and now Wally in Flash. Maybe Beast Boy/Changeling can show up in Vixen!

I don't think it will. Most of the speedsters act like a big family so as long as they stick to that,I don't mind how many show up. Even the bad guy speedsters are like the "black sheep" of the family.

I agree. If the Flash begins to get off topic, just when we're beginning to see some solid development of our hero, that's really going to dilute the show. I don't want all of these shows to just become foreshadowing of super groups. Nothing spells burn out faster. It would also negate any reason for heroes like Arrow to do special guest appearances if the show is just going to become one big cluster of men in tights. Lets keep the focus on Flash and his host of villains. Plenty of material there.

I'm with Ed, if they introduce Wally this fall and give him a story arc beyond gaining super powers and then he gets them in the spring or next season, it might be OK. But yeah, having too many speedsters and too many super heroes, period, could damage the show. One thing for sure, though, they aren't holding anything back. Even though they have cast the character to match the New52 Kid Flash, I'd like to see the original Kid Flash costume or something similar. I've always liked that design.

I LOVED the first season of the Flash! But can't express how unhappy I am with casting of Wally West(looks like they're pulling a Josh Trank FF). If they make this guy Kid Flash...I'm done watching the show.

Well get ready for both Arrow and flash will have plenty of guest stars this season since they will be introducing all the new members of Legends of Tomorrow Hawkman, Hawkgirl, White Canary, Rip Hunter, Vandal Savage. Not to mention Flash Jay Garrick, Kid Flash, Zoom, H.I.V.E., and more.

I loved in the comics when the introduced the Flash family.

The show made thousands of changes from the comics, the West family is black on the show, therefore so is Wally. If that ruins your enjoyment of a program, that's pretty freaking sad IMO.
