    Could Blade enter MCU

    Blade_movie.jpg

In an interview with Deadline about his new TV series The Player, Wesley Snipes also opened up about his future with Marvel Studios, and revealed something very interesting indeed: he's already had talks about returning as Blade.

Marvel Studios received the rights back to Blade a couple of years ago, with rumors circling that the character could appear on a second run of Netflix series alongside other "Midnight Sons" characters like Ghost Rider, who also returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe rights stable recently.

"[Blade 4] is controlled by Marvel and we did have a really productive and a wonderful meeting and we discussed a number of things. I don’t know where it’s on their schedule at this point, that hasn’t been decided. I guess it’s still up in the air," Snipes said when asked about returning to the role. That meeting centered on returning as Blade, but may have offered up other opportunities as well.

Coming into the Marvel Cinematic Universe another way " is a possibility too," the actor said. "I’ve always been a fan of these pieces and adaptations and I’d be nice to be a part of the family again. But if we don’t to a Blade 4 or something else with Marvel, we’ll do something else."

Snipes' last time in the role was in Blade Trinity in 2004. A single season TV series cast another actor, Kirk "Sticky Fingaz" Jones in the role.

Would you like to see Wesley Snipes return as Blade either in another solo feature or a new way? Sound off in the comments!

This is what I wanted the netfilx series to be, the Midnight Sons. With the deal worked out with Sony we can have the Midnight Sons:
    Blade The Vampire Hunter
    Morbius The Living Vampire
    Ghost Riders
    Doctor Strange
    Man-Thing
Hannibal King (but please do not cast Renolds)
    Werewolf By Night
Hellstorm Son of Satan (that would tick off DC)

^I'd be down for a horror side of the Marvel U getting either a movie or TV series. Morbius, Werewolf by Night, Marvel's Dracula...that would be sweet! Blade would work well in that world, and could bridge the gap with the super heroes.

I can even see them introducing Blade I & Blade II into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Blade III was such a mess due to how the introduced Dracula. This version is not the Marvel Comics version and should be written out.

Marvel has been thinking about this for sometime know. In the comic books Blade is getting a new comic book titled "Blade the Hunter" that deals with Blade's Daughter:

This October, the Daywalker's vendetta against the supernatural becomes a family affair as writer Tim Seeley and artist Logan Faerber kick off an all-new "Blade" ongoing series, where the title character teams with his teenage daughter, a seemingly normal high school student named Fallon Grey.

Why does this seem like the prefect way to introduce Blade into the MCU.
