Just watched the horror movie Annabelle last night (a prequel to the The Conjuring) and I didn't fully understand the ending.
Ok, the priest said the only way for the demon to get your soul is tricking you into trading it to him.
Eventually baby is missing and mom is willing to jump out the window and trade her soul for the baby's.
This is thwarted by hubby so Alfre Woodard's character does it.
Baby is returned and everything is fine and happy.
Did I miss something ?
They act like Alfre is finally at peace and happy (after she's dead) --- perhaps even with her dead daughter.
Wouldn't Alfre be burning eternally in hell and everyone (especially mom) be very upset by this ?
Also, if you have to give the demon permission to take your soul he must not have the baby's to begin with.
Lastly, and on a lighter note, the real Annabelle is an oversized Raggedy Ann doll (hense the name)
Do the producers actually expect anyone in the real world to want to buy and own the hideous doll shown in the film ?
