Damn---that resemblance is unnerving! You don't suppose this guy had any type of surgery to make himself look more Joker-like do you? Or perhaps some type of really well applied prosthetics?
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
You know, when he's not wearing the Joker makeup and sans the green hair, if you spiked his hair up a bit and put a pair of glasses on him, he'd come pretty close to looking a lot like David Tennant, too...!

Yeah, some really good cosplay going on there. Although, I might like to see some Infantino style wings on the hair.
This guy seems to be keeping in the spirit of a younger joker, and the wings only work for an older version of the Joker. And even if this guy wanted to go that route, it seems the only way this guy could approximate that look is by slicking back the top of his hair, and really teasing out the sides, which would be combed back as well.
That said: I absolutely love the version you're speaking of, as it's a very Bronze Age look (my favorite).
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix
I do remember reading somewhere the Conrad Veidt actually was, in part, the inspiration for how the Joker looks (or looked, since I have no idea what he's looking like these days)...

Kane said Veidt was the inspiration for the Joker when he saw the movie The Man Who Laughs. Veidt has been looking dead since 1943.....O.O
I think the Bat In The Sun Joker is better and way creepier.
I've never seen that one---and, after watching, I think he's okay---but, looks-wise and acting-wise, there was this guy who acted in a fan-film indy type movie a few years back where the Joker was a main character and was being interviewed (or something like that) in a padded cell (or somewhere in Arkham), and I thought his Joker was a bit tighter all-around. I just lost track of that short-film... but I remember being 99.9 percent happy with it. A rarity---right?
That said, I was pretty impressed with the "Bat In The Sun" Joker I just discovered via your link---but, even moreso impressed with this Batman they had going there---granted he seemed quite Conroy-derivative, but I guess his consistency added along with my Conroy-bias made his performance pop for me.

Patient J! It was good! The Actor does a total Mark Hamill Joker impression, but he does it well.
