    James Robinson's Starman

Cindy and I begin our recurring "Starman Chronicles" feature, covering one of our favorite series! I liked it so much, I made my own Cosmic Rod back in the late 90s!

We discuss the first story arc and how the series would make a great TV show!

Can't forget the great and talented artist that brought that vision to life. Tony Harris' art made that series. He's on my list of people to get a page done in my book of sketches. One of the nicest people you'd ever meet too.

^I didn't mean to slight Tony Harris at all. We gush about him in the episode. But we're going to cover the series from beginning to end (eventually) and unfortunately Harris leaves around the mid-way point.

The book seems tailor made to be a CW show.

^Exactly! We talk about that in the episode. The Times Past episodes with Ted and Shade could work like the Agent Carter flashbacks on Agents of SHIELD as well.

The Shade could be the mid-season replacement series. Shade would also be a nice opportunity for a crossover with Flash for a little CW synergy.

^That's one I haven't read myself. I thought it came out after the new 52....which was one reason I didn't buy it. Starman makes absolutely no sense without the history of the DCU. If it was from before...I may have to track it down!

The New 52 hit in September 2011.
The Shade mini-series began in December 2011 and
was immediately in that weird pre/New 52 limbo.
Plus, it's later James Robinson. A twelve
issue maxi, I don't think I made it past #9.

I was devoted to this and Sandman Mystery Theatre back in the day. Great stuff, back when DC may have sold less but did so much more.
