Can you imagine FTC 12" DC for $50 each?

I love FTC NEW 18" DC figures and am anxious to find out PRICE, but when I saw FTC Dukes Series 2 12" are only $50 each like 12" Gilligan I couldn't help but dream of $50 FTC 12" DC!

I just saw Sideshow 12" Green Lantern Hal figure is $220! UGH! $50 FTC 12" are a BARGAIN!

After seeing the level of detail they have gotten in the 66 Joker, I'm kinda spoiled now. I'd want them to at least equal that level of detail in 12 inch figures. Otherwise, they are backing up.

No thank you. I'm poor and I need to be very careful as to what I buy.

The 18" DC figures they made are just like the 8", so wouldn't they most likely do the same thing for 12"?
The Sideshow stuff is waaaaaaaaaaay more detailed.
My posts were needlessly deleted ...

If its just blown up Mego Batman, it won't appeal to the other 12 inch markets at all.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do with regards to the Gilligan figures. As it turns out they were a bargain, and are in a certain way the best. Obviously Gilligan's Island is not the best license so that's saying something. Well now I am sorry if it is your favorite license, I mean, not that there's anything wrong with Gilligan's Island. I grew up watching it in reruns like anyone who grew up in the 70s etc. But the figures are cool they remind me of Batman 66 figures but bigger for some reason.

FTC tweeted it is not likely that FTC will make remaining Gilligan's Island castaways. That's only reason I'd have bought Gilligan and Skipper. Wanted entire Gilligan CAST like Dukes of Hazzard. Too bad.

If I buy these, I think I can fake almost all the rest.

If that's true about Gilligan Island it is a bit of a deal breaker for me. I wonder what the big deal is, part of the charm would be to have the whole cast. Probably likeness rights would be the hold up, but there really aren't that many cast members alive from the show so hopefully the estates would approve.

Professor died in 2014. Mary Ann and Ginger I believe are only 2 surviving cast members. Mary Ann and Professor always supported Gilligan's Island years after show ended and the Howells. Ginger was the only hold out though she did appear on a Roseanne episode with cast members, a Jeopardy commercial, and a FOX special behind the scenes of classic TV shows! I'd think survivors and estates would allow likenesses for the money, Yvonne Craig finally did for Batgirl!

Sounds like the sales aren't strong enough to go forward with other castaways.

I don't think Gilligan's Island has ever had the kind of following that could justify a production of the full cast. Limited Edition made eight inch versions of Gilligan, Skipper, and the Professor years ago and that was as far as they went. I have that line and while the sculpts are soft in likeness, overall they are fun figures to have especially with their accessories. I'm sure when FTC looked at this license, they probably took note of what Limited Edition did and probably didn't want to commit too deep in the series. Shows like the Dukes have a more rabid fan base, so they will likely sell those better. I think price adjusting to fit demand was a smart move. The fact we have them at all is really saying something about the reMego marketplace right now. I'm enjoying the ride.

I can see a diorama of Gilligan in a hammock between 2 palm trees sitting on my desk at work to remind me that I'm at work in Colorado instead of on a tropical island. I would pop rubber bands at it because I would feel like he was mocking me for having to work. That's about the limit of my joy joy for Gilligan's Island.

I'd rather have 8" figures of the different versions of characters like Zorro and Sinbad.

Guy Williams, Tyrone Power and Frank Langella for Zorro, as well as Antonio Banderas.

Guy Williams, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., John Phillip Law, Patrick Wayne, et al for Sinbad.

Someone did an EXCELLENT Sinbad figure a while back, and while pricey, it was beautifully done.
