Spiderman Red Torso Question

Is there a specific year in which these T2 figures were produced. For example was it only the 1979 figures that came with a red torso, or were they introduced earlier. Was it only USA figures that came with a red torso, or were they also available in Europe?

I have a sewn sleeves Spiderman with a red torso - I think it may be a later release - maybe somewhat random using extra parts from Human Torch??

i think it's a late release...mine is a non-sewn sleeves t2 instead!

I have three with a red torso. I purchased one of them back in 1979-80 myself from a local Walmart. I think they made the red torso and sewn on sleeves move shortly after the 12" versions were released. Holcomb's book should shed some more light on it.
