Since the working relationship with the Museum is in place, I'm hoping for things to be more constructive with FTC.
After the latest announcement, I think they need to rethink how they approach the variants and offer an online Build-A-Figure website.
For example, you have WGSH Batman. Then you can click to see the variants - '66, JLA, Removable Mask, SuperFriends, Fist Fighter...along with cardbacks.
You then have the option to BAF. So SuperFriends Batman Head, JLA Suit, '66 hands on a Fist Fighter body with a Super Powers card.
This way, the focus is not the variant releases, which is reaching saturation, but with the available parts. And the more refined the parts - variant Bat symbols for example - the greater the experience.
For example, I cannot understand how they haven't made a white-eyed Batman available. If they're holding that option just for the SuperFriends release, then they're missing how detailed they can get.
I mean, I cannot be the only person who wants a GA head, sans mask, right? And in a variety of hair colors?
Do they offer Face-On-A-Figure or whatever it's called, with DC/licensed parts?
I don't know their costs or assembly line logistics, but the more customized of an experience they're willing to take on, the more attention they'll get from outside the diehards.
