    Larami Toys 1981 Catalog

In 1981, Larami was celebrating it's 20th year of bringing low cost licensed "Rack Toys" to children around the world.

This year was no exception with licenses like the DC and Marvel comics Superheroes, Barbie, Fat Albert, Flash Gordon, Dick Tracy, Mighty Mouse and the ever present Popeye, Larami had something for any kid to beg their parents for while they shopped.

I seem to recall the Popeye Tube-a-loonies smelled quite toxic?

Cindy and I have a sealed pack of Super Jrs. flash cards. Love that stuff.

The artwork on those Spidey/Hulk bubble machines has to be some of the best packaging ever done for a rack toy. I remember eyeing those at Dollar General Store, but I can't recall ever getting them.

Did Larami make small PVC figures of Spider-Man and Hulk? I have a very skinny, almost Nicholas Hammond (or Fred Waugh) looking Spider-Man from my childhood, and I'd swear he came on a Larami looking card.

Aw man, glow putty!!! That stuff was mankind's greatest achievement back then.

I'd love to use the Buck Rogers wallet today to store my Bucks.

Cool Catatlog! Love the Flash Gordon Aliens. Hey just stick some plastic Dinos on the cards the kids won't notice! The Cosby Kids Kazoo rings a bell for some reason for me.
