Japanese Spider-Man appears in Marvel Comics

If you've been reading Dan Slott's Spider-Verse saga over at Marvel Comics, you know this "Crisis on Infinite Spider-Men" has combined pretty much taken every iteration of ol' Web-head and joined them into one epic adventure. But one specific introduction has just blown my mind.

My son is enjoying the Spider-Verse comics, and he keeps coming up and showing me all the different versions that are showing up. Next we need Nicholas Hammond!

Mind blown! I would have never guessed in a million years that something like this would happen. Leopardon becomes official Marvel Comics canon, wow!

LOVED this moment when I picked up the latest Spiderverse issue this week.

They had introduced another Japanese giant robot Spiderman an issue or two earlier, so I was assuming outside of a small panel cameo, we wouldn't be seeing Japanese Spider-Man, let alone Leopardon.

Really hoping we get to see some further comic book adventures of Japanese with Leopardon, despite his fate in this issue.

I've been digging Spiderverse too! I'm not a regular Spidey reader, but I started getting these and enjoying it. Loved the meeting with 60s tv cartoon spiderman and Spider Gwen is cool. I'm hoping Nick Hammond version shows up as well before it's over.

I haven't bought a Spider-Man comic since the late 80s, but this looks incredible.

I will be terribly disappointed if Italian Spider-man doesn't end up saving the day:

We just set up our Roku player and I found a channel that runs the 70s Spiderman from Japan. I only watched the first episode so far, but it was pretty cool, really trippy stuff!

*sigh* Sorry, pet peeve, I hate when they call him "Supaidaman" in English. That's just how "Spider-man" is pronounced in Japanese, and written in Japanese katakana characters. It's the closest approximation that the Japanese language can pronounce "Spider-man", and isn't really meant to be spelled in English that way. </rant>
