:hello:smiley12:Hi Megoheads and others in MegoLand....I think the Mego figures are neat but don't collect them myself will let you all divvy up the treasures you find...that's that many more for you!

I found this pair of pants at an estate sale where a Mego Robin I'm currently selling on ebay was wearing them. Pretty sure they're not his! Even though they fit him (8"). Can't figure out how to post the pic here yet...they're shaped like football pants with red tape down the sides and come mid-calf and are a brownish beige. Are they part of one of the Action Jackson sports figures outfits? They sort of look like it but I'm not sure the color's right. Whadya think? I know a picture's worth a thousand words...will post it here once i figure out how.

As far as I can tell by the pics the knife for Davey Crockett, Cochise, Action Jackson (Spy outfit) and Tarzan are all the same knife??? This is not made clear in the accessory check sections yet they look identical (at least in mold) to each other. The text for Tarzan says there is no Mego silver knife made like this (although the repro is silver) so is this just a mistake or are the western knives silver? Hard to tell from the pic as cameras/flash can be misleading sometimes.

Obvious tells for repro Thor parts?

I got an inexpensive Thor at a toy show, but I'm not entirely sure if his helmet is original. The seller knew for a fact that the wristbands were ordered from Doctor Mego, but couldn't tell for sure about the helmet. I've dealt with him before and trust him, so I'm pretty sure this isn't one of those "stick a repro on there and play dumb" games. He said that the hammer is original. I was looking at the accessory check, and it said that there have been no factory made repros of Thor's parts, so any reproductions are hand-cast. I am satisfied that the hammer is legit, but I'm still not sure about the helmet. I don't see any bubbles or obvious signs of a resin cast, but I'm not that practiced at spotting repros as some people here. I'm happy with the price of the figure anyway, but I was wondering if someone could help identify if the helmet is original or not, just for the sake of my wish/upgrade list.

put object in a clear plastic continer with a open continer of peroxide
(like a spray can cap or plastic cup) seal it and let sit in the sun for a few hours.
Object DOES NOT have to submerged in peroxide , it works airborn.
paint and decals may be effected ,also color plastics.
so think wisely.

I'm trying to acquire some POTA accessories & have some questions:

1. Are the "control sticks" unique or just reissues of AJ baseball bats?

2. Is the capture pole (w/ net) made of plastic? What might be a good repro?
 Dimensions?

3. Were the Fortress ladders issued with any other Mego sets?

Did Mego ever make the poles with the noose at the end, like they used in the movies?

Any info, pix, suggestions are appreciated, thanks!
