I put together a Clark Kent and A Bruce Wayne and listed them on Ebay. I decribed the Reproduction items(suits,glasses,hat,shoes and Bruce Head) and listed them not thinking anything of it until the Next day when I received notice that the items were removed because of the use of the Brand Name Mego. I emmidiately Called and stated that the items were Mego and then they requested proof and I send a picture of the Copyright Stamp on the Figures backs. I thought this was an open and shut Case but the Appeal was denied and stated the Use of Custom outfits and Bruce Head was keeping it from being a Mego and that the item needs to be original to list as a Mego item. Im still Fighting this one, but now I think im fighting this for all of us. I could use some good arguement points and maybe even some vocal support. The other night I had my first real mego dream featuring a mego museum member!

I was at some convention and seattleEd came up to me and offered me this display diorama that featured seven or eight wgsh megos attached. I was so excited in my dream that i woke up excited! Ha!
It's been a long time since i was that disappointed a dream was just a dream.

I am still a newbie here but had/have megos since the 70's. I remember one morning waking up one christmas and I got the Wayne Foundation with Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Spiderman. My brother and I were so happy and we played with it tour years. It leaned like the tower of Pisa so we tied it to the bed for support and still played with it till the floor boards fell apart. We then turned our bookshelf into a Wayne Foundation. I still have to this day the orginal backdrops and most of the plastic furniture.

Many years later I keep checking ebay for another WF and they would go for up to and over a thousand dollar. I would get mad and I stopped looking. That was until I found out the FTC was going to come out with repro of the DC Megos. So I looked on ebay and found a near complete Wayne Foundation and bought it for $500. I also found a mint blue Batcycle, Batcopter, and Batcave for under $400. The first thing I wanted to ask but dare not is what happen to the Mego market. I know with the news of that FTC is going to re-release alot of Megos but this was before the news came out. Megos used to cost lots of money, and now they seem to be affordable on the secondary collector market. I am at a loss. Shelby's Toy show is the actual name, I think. Selection of vintage goods varies widely from show to show and the early admission features nearly 100% picker vultures but whattya gonna do. I always go anyway.
