Say I have a vinyl head and it has a smile, is it possible to somehow turn the corners of the smile down to make a slight frown?

Also, is it possible to lighten skin coloring on a vinyl head?

This is probably a thread for the market place, but I'm looking for a little bit of red and white striped spandex. I don't want to buy a yard online, because if I live to be 100, I'll never use it all. I'm talking about the kind of material you would use to make Captain America's belly. I only need a bit. I can buy it from you or we could trade. I have some nice flame print material (flames are a bit big, but it would depend on how you cut it.

If anyone has anything let me know. (Or if you seem some in a store. I have JOann's, Hobby lobby, etc...and never saw any)

thanks

*Would a pair of original Conan boots that I want to use for painting be better than painting the repros? The originals appear to have a flat finish, as opposed to repros which seems to have a more glossy finish. I want to paint them and I want the paint to stick, if it can or will. So, which is better for painting? If the originals would be better then I need a reasonbly priced pair.*

I thought I saw a thread a while back about dyeing a body using Rit dye, but I can't seem to find it anymore.

I need a fat body with an African American skin tone. As far as I know, Mego never made one, and nobody sells a repro version that is non-caucasian.

So is dyeing the way to go? If so, does anyone have a "recipe" for getting good results?

RC BATMAN cowl shrink....would it work?

We know that the RC BATMAN cowl is sort of a loose fit.Could acetone shrink it down to a more snug fit?
I've never done an acetone shrink, so you guys that have, tell me if my idea would, or wouldn't work.

  Here's my plan:
1. Take a repro RC cowl and soak it in acetone.
2. Take it out of the acetone, and put it on a resin Bruce Wayne head.
3. After it shrinks to the shape of the head, remove it, wash off any trace of acetone, and put your new, tight fitting cowl on the actual rubber Bruce head.

Sound good in theory? You guys let me know what you think.

                                                                  Joe

OK....
One of my daughter's favorite hero/villains is the White Queen and since the popularity of the new Wolverine cartoon I have been getting pushed to making the White Queen.

In current X-Men comics, Jean Grey is off in Neverland somewhere with Phoenix powers and the White Queen (Emma Frost) is Cyclop's main squeeze.

So....it is time to make the White Queen.

I have a nice looking Dinah Mite doll with blue Sapphire lipstick I have painted on her lips.

What would be a good outfit??? Something that is appropriate for a 11 year old girl?

How would this work?

All thoughts and ideas welcomed.

I am working on a Mego version of the famous X-Men villain, Sabretooth.

I was going to go with his modern look but I think I am going to attempt to do this early look.

Anyone tackle this version? I finished the head sculpt tonight.

Just looking to see if anyone nailed this look for custom MEGO?

I found a great source of shoes for the female figures. The prices are pretty cool, but they soak you on shipping.

They are from parabox in japan, and the ones you want are the 21cm shoes.

I just got two pairs of Mary Jane like shoes for 5 bucks a pair.

However, the shipping was 18 bucks, which shocked the snot out of me.

You might want to drop them a line first, before ordering and see if the price is constant for large orders.

That way, you can buy shoes in bulk.

They also have boots, clothes, bikes, wigs, heads, and bodies.

Sorry blurry photo, but it gives you an idea of the size of her head:
