    Danny (check out his awesome art here) sent in this fun shot of him posing with a pretty ersatz Vader and C3P0 from Six Flags great adventure in 1981.

    Danny mentioned he likes to point out to family that Vader is wearing Adama's cape but they don't understand, however we totally do...

                  That Threepio is the stuff of nightmares, yikes! For some reason, that Vader reminds me of the Lili Ledy 12" Vader figure, must be the off-model costume.

                              Love this. I would love to know if the Adama cape came from Universal Studios, and somehow found its way to Six Flags. That Threepio is inspired. Actually, some of the piping on the legs is surprisingly accurate.

                                          Those legs look like they belong to a giant action figure. The rest is indeed pure nightmare fuel. Looks like something off a prog-rock album cover of the time.

                                              Can't believe someone in 81 said "yep, that'll do" to these displays.
                                              To me, it looks like Vader is holding a plastic toy M-16 that had been partially spray painted silver to "space it up."
