30 Years of LJN WWF Wrestling Superstars

Most people just know them as "those big, rubber wrestlers," and it's hard to believe that they've been around since 1984. I take a look back this week on my blog!

I still remember Big John Studd signing his figure when I was 10. He was a nice guy and genunily liked the drawing I made for him.

Gentle Giant should do the large upscaled versions of these. I'd be down for a King Kong Bundy and big haired Andre.

Now that is a novel idea! I used to beat my brother up with the King Kong Bundy figure. Imagine now a bigger one! I could take on the adult versions of my family.

I had a frenemy who had a lot of these, and the ring. You could really bludgeon someone with those things. And you could slingshot 'em a country mile with those ring ropes. Good times.

I was born in Dec of 74, so for me it was Star Wars from '77-'82, GI Joe from '82 to '85 and LJN figures from 85 until I got a skateboard, probably 87 or 88. I'm sure there some overlap there as well. I do get nostalgic for the LJN figures but I just have no interest in collecting them really. Although I did keep all mine from childhood. They're one of the few toys I keep in a closet and don't display.
