OK...part of AJ's appeal (for me, anyway) are his unusual facial features. I mean, he's not exactly like a Hollywood leading man but he's interesting nonetheless.

Does anybody know how they came up with that face? Was it modeled after someone or just scratch-built?

That's gotta be in some Mego interview somewhere but I haven't found it. Anybody know?

I think I heard that rumor for the first time way back in March of 2008 in the Mego Fact forum of the Mego Museum, so it must be true!

Actually, it was "read" in a collectibles magazine from the late 80s that featured an interview with Marty. I believe the interviewer was John Marshall. I am trying to find the issue in question. The article not only mentioned the likeness, but also showed a close-up of the packaging artwork for the snowmobile suit to illustrate that it was actually a portrait of Marty. When I find the book I'll give the title and issue #.

Yeah, the red lips look weird but, hey, so does the "mod styled hair"....for that matter, so does the blue jumpsuit, white boots, white belt!

Actually KISS looks weird, too! But, it's all entertaining. Who wants to see the same old dull stuff from reality?
