Want to Thank Paul(Dr.Mego) For bring back the fun

    Hi Everyone,
I want to send a huge shout out to Paul for all his work in bringing back the Mego magic. I gave my son a set of the new emce figures and one of my Star Trek Enterprise playsets and he loves them. He was playing with them a few weeks back and he was taking the gloves off his Andorion well he comes up to me and shows me that when he went to take the glove off he ended up pulling the arm out of the body and his Andorions arm came off and the rest of the body went limp. so I checked it out and he broke the plastic loop that holds the band together so couldnt fix it. But no problem I got hold of Paul on the phone and before I knew it a new body was mailed out and my sons Andorion is now whole again. Also gave my nephew a Spock and my sister tells me he wont go to sleep now unless he has his Spock with him I have to get her to take me a pic of that :-)

also wanted to share a few pics with you all of my son and his mego's
He's 7 years old dont let his size full ya

OK, that rocks, great to see a modern kid dig the vintage toys.

Now, more importantly, is the freakin' GHOULARDI shirt he is wearing!!!

Awesome! Tell your kid he is a PURPLE KNIF!

I've wanted this for a long time, I never lost my interest in mego, there was never a time I wasn't, after I first saw action jackson and dreamed (literally) of planet of the apes figures only to find them at the store (kiddie world, to be exact) not long after, without ever seeing an ad or a commercial . To say the least I was beside myself, that was 1973. When I first found out mego was going out of business, though I was older, I missed them immediately and it felt like a part of my child hood was gone forever. I immediately wanted to find them again, alas sometimes the price was too high. Now, thanks to paul It's 73 all over again, only now I can "collect 'em all". you make 'em I'll keep buying. thanks paul.

Those pictures are exactly what we were hoping for when Joe and I started EMCE Toys.

Kids playing with toys, not ebay commodities that are never opened, but real toys
that our sons AND daughters can really play with.

12 inch is too big and too expensive, and the 5 inch has little movement, but
8 inch in real costumes that can be switched around - just opens the floodgates
                    of the imagination.

I had the pleasure last week of visiting Marty Abrams' home to give him some
of the Star Trek figures. We were looking through Ben Holcomb's book and
talking about how to keep toys as something kids actually play with, not
collections in their rooms. It was a surreal moment to be sharing my ideas
                    with the master himself.

Joe says I drove safely home, but I just remember floating the rest of the day.

That's a great story, Paul. Congrats on all your success. I love making sure that my kids love playing with toys. Easily, their favorite are my Megos, followed by the new Godzilla toys.

I know I thanked him already and don't want to highjack your thread but here is my son as well and he is six.the pics are old he now as has all the Emce treks and has forsaken his MEGOs???
He loves his Romulan and Andorian much more than the original crew I think. He likes aliens.
So thanks again Paul and everybody that made this happen and Glad to hear your story Paul that is so cool. That must have been a dream come true for sure. You are living the dream sir congrats.
