Anyone else like WEEKEND AT BERNIE's ?

Not sure if this is horror, or just really dark humour...

I seen both one and two and I thought that they were both funny. I would not think of it is being horror though unless we are talking about two different movies with the same or similar name.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

Nope definetly dark humor over horror. The first Bernies was funny. After that they were just beating a dead horse.............
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
      Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.
In the halls of Valhalla where the brave may live forever.

          No, sorry.
Maybe it would be worth giving it another try...maybe.

WAB one was funny as hell.WAB two not so funny.
WAB is even funnier when you play drinking games while you watch...
Take a drink every time they say Bernie,or every time bernie makes out with a hot girl.
The best take a shot for everytime bernie would have died if he wasn't already dead...

I'd never drink anything during the boat scene. Too hazardous.

                The concept is solid

Can't remember how much I really liked the movie tho'
(At least I remember not hating it)

                Too long ago.

If this movie doesn't ever get remade.... its a shame

I saw it on my first date with my wife-to-be.
We've been together for 18 years now.
Bernie must be my good luck charm or something...

I found the movie to be very frustrating.

                    Drop the dead guy already.

I thought it was funny at the time. Am I nuts or was there a VERY short-lived TV spinoff of this?

Weekend At Bernie's was genius, sheer genius! I loved that movie. I didn't see the sequel, but the first one was awesome. Andrew McCarthy and Jonathan Silverman were great, but they just didn't have that much range. I've seen some of their other movies and they're basically playing the same type of character. Andrew McCarthy either plays the good natured guy next door or the arrogant smart-*****. Jonathan Silverman has the wacky, but perplexed nebbish down pat.

Another really cool Jonathan Silverman movie is 12:01, with Helen Slater and Martin Landau. Very Groundhog Day, Silverman's struck by lightning in bed and relives the same day until he can figure out what caused the lightning strike and how to undo it. Cool Sci-fi!
