Cereal Box premiums vs. Happy meal toys

So which did/do you like better? Personally, I like cereal box prizes! Nothing beats those cut-out records and rubber band racers!

By far cereal box prizes! Well, when I was a kid I don't remember there being any Happy Meals or even chicken nuggets as far as that goes. We got our food with no toys and we liked it! That's the way it was living in a van down by the river! Ok, maybe that was Chris Farley's character on SNL but we still did get any toys with our fast food.

Freakies, Monster Cereal, glow in the dark monster heads from Aurora molds, Creeping Monsters, etc., etc., etc. Tastier than the cereal itself!

Yeah, Cereal Premiums are going to have to take the cake, I remember the excitement of sitting around in the morning when mom would serve up breakfast and you discover there is a toy in the cereal box, besides having to fight you brothers/sisters for it, it was downright exciting.

Cereal boxes...I was too old (technically...Happy Meals came out in '79) for Happy Meals but bought some just the same for the prizes, depending on what they were.

For a long time I would have gone with cereal box prizes.... until Burger King had them Universal Monsters action figures.

Cereal box prizes gets my vote along with the vending machine trinkets from the 1970s.

Cereal Boxes of course, because they came with schloads of sugary goodness to properly hype me up for the upcoming Action Jackson and WGSH commercials.

I do have to give a shout out for the crappiness that was Cracker Jax toys. Despite their suckiness, every box held the promise that maybe there might actually be something cool in it.
