Opening cable tie on Batman '66 clamshell

Hopefully this will help on opening the tie on the FTC Batman '66 packaging for those that are having trouble with it.

Tie on packaging - rigged side is up.


Slide a small micro screwdriver in the catch on top lifting the mechanism that locks.


While holding up the lock slide the strip out.


Done! Tie is opened.

Thanks. I can get the screwdriver in there but can't get the clip to lift up. At this point I'm going to leave it alone for fear of breaking it. Appreciate the pictures!

Have someone push the plastic out while you hold the screwdriver under the flap... I have been doing this since the first wave of retro Batman you will be fine.

i used my best mego toole ,that i have used since the 70s ,that i fixed many megos with,a small knitting
needle,works just like that screw driver,just push in and pull the ties out,very easy .just like the pics.

My screwdriver fits in there but won't go under the clip. And I rubbed half the ink off the FTC logo on the tie. LOL Ah well..

I was able to use a push pin style thumbtack. Just about anything small enough to raise the little pin will work.

I just cut them off with a wire cutter.
