Laser Mego Preview for Mego Meet X

Come back all this week for the Laser Mego: Mego Meet X preview!

Every day this week (Monday - Friday) I will be updating this thread with new never before seen items that will be available for the first time at this year's Mego Meet as well as some old favorites. Also, on Friday, I will reveal this year's free give-a-way for stopping by the Laser Mego table.

Most items will also be available to order after the meet, but for the best price and to avoid shipping, please stop by!

    Monday - To boldly go...!

    New Trek items!

    New Items:
    Black Type-2 Phaser
Black communicator with gold foil lid
    Detailed accurate badge

    Closed communicator (fits in belt)
Black and Silver Type-1 Phaser (also fits in communicator spot of belt)
    Type-2 Phaser in belt

Badges made out of an extremely thin black plastic with gold surface. The different division symbols are precisely etched onto the surface.

Communicator comes either closed or opened. The Type-1 Phaser is made out of black plastic with a silver surface that is etched away to leave the phaser controls. The Type-2 Phaser it modeled after the Mego version, but in black instead of blue.

Vulcan Lute. The soothing instrument from Vulcan that Spock sometime plays on his off hours.

Transporter Pad. Comes with 6 blank pads that can be replaced with stands to hold figures.

Can use the stands to transport figures down to the planets surface.

That is the "Trek" update for today! Come back tomorrow for more new stuff!

Tuesday - Look! Up in the sky!

Okay, its Tuesday on the East Coast, so I'm going to post this now!

Wings - the power of flight. Today's update shows 4 items and also shows two never before seen custom figures!

Available for the first time, "Vulture" wings!

Comes with flexible green straps! (Okay, rubber bands)

Here they are are on my custom Vulture figure, head sculpted by dr cyclops and painted by enyawd72. Dr cyclops also provide me with the suit and re-strung body. What a guy!

They same style "vulture" wings but in red were used for the custom Toy Hawk figure available during the Mego Meet auction!

Also available for the first time: ankle wings!

Shown here mounted on an ankle bracelet designed to fit a Mattel body.

The custom Namor the Sub-Mariner figure is a Mattel Retro-action Black Adam with Aquaman's trident, FTC bracelets and my belt.

Ankle wings also available "plain" to glue onto other body types.

Next is an old favorite in a new slimmer design.

1:9 scale Space Glider Dash Wings, now with a gold or silver finish.

The front and back are made out of a thinner plastic.

A sleeker design that, with the metallic finish, is a closer match to the originals.

Also available, the previous shown Wasp wings!

Not shown is the clear vinyl mounting that fits any 1:9 scale female body type. Be sure to stop by at Mego Meet for all the details!

That is all the picture for today, but I'm hoping to get another style of wings done before the meet. Be sure to come back tomorrow for a bunch of new stuff!

Wednesday - Where does he get all those wonderful toys?

    Super Hero Accessories!!!

"By uttering a single magic word young Billy Batson transforms himself into the world's mightiest mortal, Captain Marvel!"

The first item today is the Shazam! sign.

The Shazam sign is made of clear acrylic with vinyl details. Its hard to see in a photo, but the lettering floats above the cloud for a 3D effect.

Its big enough that the letter are displayed over the figure's head.

    Next ... surfing!

A Batman long surfboard to go along with magyar1964 awesome swim suit.

    Also available for Joker.

Also available as a shorter board that fits nicely behind the tray in the clamshell. Perfect to go with a custom card.

An improved Silver Surfer surfboard made out a new shinny silver plastic. Unfortunately, the material is expensive, so this will be priced higher than my previous Silver surfboards, but it looks really impressive in person.

Who's everybody's favorite version of Captain America? Why its the 1979 TV movie version staring Reb Brown.

Motorcycle helmet and clear shield available!

Also available a Ghost Rider finishing kit. Due to Figure Toy Company's great motorcycle gear, there have been several awesome Ghost Rider customs posted recently, including the incredible version by Krypt0nite. However, if you don't want to spend $20 on a Marvel Legend figure, you can pick this up much cheaper.

Include stripes for the jacket, belt, and flame cowl using Star Wars 3.75" cape technology!

I feel the flames have a Megoee look to them and come in different colors for other characters.

An improved Doctor Strange's Eye of Agamotto now featuring a gold finish.

Phew, that was a lot for today. Come back tomorrow for even more stuff!

Thursday - We can rebuild him...

Today is all about body-parts for the new Type-S Mego like body, available from the 8-Inch Super Store. I really enjoy the modular design of the bodies as it is so easy to customize them with different body parts.

First is the Micronaut inspired boots that I have shown before, but will be available for purchase for the first time at Mego Meet.

Also available, a cartoonish protruding bone in ivory and white.

    Articulated claw hands!

Perfect for making an updated Yog of Tomland's Star Raiders! Or get in it black for the Human Fly.

Also in clear to go with the clear Type-S bodies for a real creepy look.

Speaking of aliens, here is a saw blade hand inspired by the Repto Micronauts figure.

    The blade actually turns!

And finally for tonight, Aquaman's hook hand in silver.

Also fits the Mattel body, shown here in yellow.

Hope you enjoyed the various body parts. Come back tomorrow for the final day of the Mego Meet preview, but all item will be available online after the meet.

    Friday - Express yourself

I had brought a few emblems to Mego Meet before, but this year I'm going through all the custom emblems I've made over the years and bringing a 3-ring binder full of 100s of emblems.

Find the one you need, or flip through them to inspire your next custom!

And everybody who stops by the Laser Mego table can pick up a free ....

Hail Hydra! word balloon (while supplies last). Who is friend? Who is foe?

You get to decide! Just put the arm cuff on and the word balloon will hover in mid-air!

I hope you enjoyed this long preview. I had been making a lot of different thing over the past year and been holding them back to show off at Mego Meet. Thanks to everybody for all the great comments and suggestions. I should also thank my son Ben and daughter Sophie who have both helped me make a lot of the items shown. I think this year's meet might be one of the best ever and am really looking forward to getting together with all my Mego buddies! See you in Wheeling!

While these Trek items are all cool, that Vulcan lute is in a class by itself. The perfect accessory for jamming with Mego space hippies!

Not a big trek guy, but the transporter display looks awesome. I see no way any trek collector does not get one. Love the trek emblems too. Some fantastic work.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.
