Also costumes seem to be 70s/80s versions. Hopefully that's the characters they want to create.

Looks like that image is a greatly expanded version of this image found in the 1982 DC Style Guide ...

Wow, that is quite a mix of art there. I could spend all day identifying who did what!

So, they are doing 2-packs with a custom figure of yourself AND a DC character. Wild!

If they make figures of The Blackhawks I'd be ok with that.

That's a pretty smart and ambitious business plan to pair the catalog with their Face On a Figure concept. Has anyone ever had that done? I haven't heard much buzz about it.

I had my face done. Just the head and it turned out okay.

The 3D printed glasses broke off almost immediately and it suffers from faded colours. For the life of me I can't find a photo here at work. I'll take when later to show it off.

I spotted an homage to Bookworm in the picture, he's the little worm with a graduation cap on his head, with glasses, reading a book in the front.

He's also a literal worm! I spotted Jericho, Raven, Lex Luthor, Phantom Stranger, Wotan, Queen Bee, Duo Damsel, Dr. Fate, Harley Quinn, Sinestro, Aqualad, Billy Batson, Mary Marvel, Captain Marvel and Marvel Jr., Krypto, Black Canary, and a WHOLE bunch of others!

That's Mr. Mind. He's a Shazam bad guy. Soooo....we could be getting a baby Kal-El?

The worm is Mr. Mind, a Captain Marvel villain. The military character mentioned in an earlier post is Gen. Zod.

Catwoman is in there twice, in the Mego era pirate outfit and her purple dress. Technically Superman and Superboy are the same character, and of course Nightwing and Robin.

No not Zod on the left.. I was referring to the guy in uniform pictured behind Darkseid and Mera.

I would rather have a two pack of superhero/villain figures. So FTC is going to produce all of the figures on this poster?? What an undertaking....

The pricing is 99 for a two pack, so 50 per figure?

Interesting. I think it's more like 100 for a custom DC figure and you're the bonus.

I think it comes to down if they're 3D replica's of the DC characters or actual rotos. I'm guessing 3D.

Looks to me like we're jumping the gun here. I think we'll only be able to add whatever DC that are attached to their waves, not special made DC characters.

That's quite a roster--I can't name a few: Wotan looks off-model, and is that Steve Trevor & Vicki Vale I see?

Hooray for the Marvels & Mr. Mind, Dr. Sivana, & Black Adam!

I'm digging the DC t-shirts offered with the figure of yourself.

I don't think that is Jax-**.. Looking at it now I think it is Kru-El

http://dccomicsartists.com/superwhoswho/kru-el-action298.JPG

And the one you are referring to as Vicky Vale is actually Lana Lang.

http://comicartcommunity.com/gallery/data/media/247/Lana_Lang.jpg

And I am still trying to figure out who this guy is..

10347

Not enough resolution in the image to tell if it is a Blackhawk, WW2 Steve Trevor, or some other soldier type.

I want to do this, but I have to wait till an Aqua-Character comes out.

Your right, I get them mixed up when remembering the old version. I just checked my files it is Kru-El.

And yes that's Lana Lang (by Ra's Al Ghul) when she worked for WGBS News. Vicki Vale was a photographer, not a TV reporter.

I think the main point of the press release is not that every character featured will made into a figure (although I guess the potential is there), it's that your custom figure of yourself (or friend or family member) can have a DC themed t-shirt.

Given how many times I get asked by folks if I can make a figure of them or a friend, this is a very good business idea.

March 31, 2014

Myfaceonafigure is happy to announce a partnership with DC Comics that will allow the collector community to purchase two-packs featuring DC Comics characters alongside their very own custom figure. The retro, Mego style DC figures are produced by Figures Toy Company, the sister company of Myfaceonafigure. Customers will be able to select their choice of any of the offered DC Comics figures, as well as a character themed package. In addition, custom figure t-shirts featuring the familiar logos of heroes like Superman, Batman, and The Flash will be available as a clothing selection for any custom action figures.

Figures available for immediate purchase include: Batman, Robin, The Joker, and The Riddler, Catwoman, The Penguin, Dick Grayson & Bruce Wayne. Additional figures released through Figures Toy Company will also be available to select for a Myfaceonafigure two-pack upon release. Some of the upcoming figures that will be offered as part of a two-pack include Batgirl, Alfred, and characters from the Batman 1966 Classic TV Show.

Notices that Joker appears off model with a white trench coat so its possible the white cop is indeed mis-colored as well?

I would love a high resolution copy of that image.

It's not white...It's a light lavender. Same for General Zod (the "cop"). He's supposed to have a light purplish-grayish uniform...

So they are pretty much doing the Big Bang Theory figures one better by including the buyer in a t-shirt with a DC Character?

Here are my photos of the head I had made by FTC / MyFaceOnAFigure. As I mentioned the glasses broke pretty quick so I carved them down and put on regular glasses from FTC. I also used an India Ink pen to darken the hair.
