View Full Version : Mego Meet Excluisve Tonto (minus head)

Feb 21, '14, 3:07 PM
Here's the MM2014 Tonto sans head. I wanted to get a pic of Tonto up so people can get an idea for him. Another killer sewing job by BL. I have the auction outfits and as soon as I get the heads from Austin I'll post complete shots of both sets of LR & T. I'm also waiting on something from lasermego to kick LR up a notch. Stay tuned.

And if you are on the fence about getting the set of the singles I hope this pushes you over. Over half of the sets and 2 single LRs and single Ts have been spoken for. Again, if you have any questions just ask

**sorry the pics are so big all of a sudden. I don't know why that is**

That looks nice Scott. Those rubbery belts are so much nicer than the old plastic ones.

Thank you sir. I'm really liking the way these are turning out.

I'm confused--are these for the customs auction, or as convention sets?

Mego Meet always has an 'exclusive figure.' Chris Johnson started this tradition and passed the torch to Scott last year. You may see a variant for the auction, but what he's showing now is the work in progress on the convention sets as you put it. This is the first year that I can recall a pair of figures, and really you can't have the LR without Tonto.

We should probably document the figures for each year now that I think about it.

I'm anxious to see these--I was working on the pair and mine may just be redundant. There are some similarities of materials .

The Lone Ranger and Tonto figures I've shown so far are the meet exclusive figures that are for sale now. There are 10 complete sets numbered 1-10 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the meet. Then there are 5 single Lone Ranger figures and 5 single Tonto figures you can buy individually or together.

The auction exclusive set will have different heads and different outfits.

And yes. It is about time we document the meet figures.

I ordered my two pack and can't wait to see it all come together... I even picked up a Bryer Horse this weekend to go with 'em! I think you picked a winner IMHO Scott.

Can't go wrong with anything Brian Leitner sews together.

There should definitely be a section on the Mego Meet site showing off the Exclusive figures for the past ten years.

I have just seen the preliminary box for the 2-pack. All I can say is O M G.

DaveMc is painting the auction heads as we speak. Still waiting on the Tonto heads from Austin (hopefully very soon) and more suits from BL. It should all be coming together soon here and I hope to have pics of the final figures asap.

I got the Tonto heads from Austin today and am now in full painting mode. I hope to have final pics of both the regular Lone Ranger and Tonto and the auction set up by next week some time. BL is bringing the majority of the suits with him to MM and Mike is sending the boxes to Kruger so it looks like the assembly line tradition continues. You know who you are
