    Aaay, Fonzie!

This little picture is another thing that I love about toy catalogs. You see, in 1976 Mego rushed the Fonz doll to the market place but his friends and his trademark motorcycle would have to wait until 1977.

JC Penney offered the Fonz with this fill in motorcyle, it probably wasn't even made by Mego and looks nothing like Fonzies bike. I kind of want one.

That's exactly the bike I got with my Fonzie. I guess my parents were first to market.
    Fresh, not from concentrate.

Wow! He was pricey back then. I've always loved my Fonzie figure. The jacket has gotten pretty worn through all these years, but he still remains a favorite of mine. So unique for it's day with the posturing thumbs. I actually bought up all the CTVT Happy Days figures when they were selling them cheap. They were practically giving them away carded so I snatched a set of each series. That's always been a fun license on the eight inch scale.

That cycle is an Evel Knievel Chopper painted black. I have one of the originals in blue. Fonzie's too big to be cool on that cycle!

I was wondering if that were the case looking at the rear wheel. I didn't recognize it as Evel's, but that looked like it had gears to mesh with something else or maybe even just a friction wheel.

Ditto. I was a big Fonze fan. One of the pictures I posted of me in the 70s clothes thread is me doing my Fonzie Aaaaay.

I was a HUGE Fonzie fan in my preschool days. I don't remember much, but I apparently had a T-shirt, leather jacket, paper doll set, and of course, the Mego...and his (really Ralph's) jalopy.

Here's the one I've since I was a kid...I think it's Team America, but it's clearly the same mold as the one in the pic....
