1970s cheapo MONSTER / HALLOWEEN torch Hong Kong PLEASE HELP!

    Hi All -

Back around 1974,1975 my mum bought me a CARDED TORCH , which had 2 or 3 MONSTER faces with it .

The torch took one penlight battery (Every Ready HP7 / double AA battery) .

Torch was constructed of plastic , white at the end where bulb was , and blue where you put the battery in.

The idea was to attach the Faces on the end of the torch to project eyes /mouth on a wall in a dark room.

I think the faces included were THE MUMMY, AND ???

Almose certain toy was made in HONG KONG , and I'm guessing it was a cheapo RACK TYPE TOY.

DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY INFO ON THIS TOY - or REMEMBER IT ?

BRIAN does it feature in your Book of Rack toys?

MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE - RETROTOYBOY

Hmmmm.... I KIND OF remember something like that.... a mummy and a skull. The mummy was a lot like the one off the mummy's dragster model.

How about these??? These were around in the 70's and early 80's. I've had these in my collection for some time now. There was also a black cat as well as the pumpkin. For some reason I remember that there was also Frankenstein. I could be wrong.

Hi , thanks so much for posting the images, I guess the ones in your collection are from the 1980s - no barcodes were around in the early 70s (well not in the uk)

Sadly it's not the one I looking for - I know its gonna sound weird - but I'll know it when i see it

I'm glad to help. You are correct. These are from the 80's. The cards from the 70's were a bit different minus the bar code! I can remember my mother buying these for me in the late 70's. To me they were the best flash lights ever made!
