    kenner star wars ranking question...

Twice now I've passed on buying giant collections (150 and 130 figure collections) of old Kenner star wars figures because the price I thought was too high to flip or useful for trade.
So besides telescoping, blue snaggle, missle boba, later coin figs, and vinyl jawas...what else is a tip off they are worth something more than a few bucks each?

Is there a website that ranks collectible variations of these guys?

You'd do well to pick up any of the last 17 power of the force figures. Other than the ones you mentioned above those are the most valuable out of the bunch. Yak Face especially! Rebelsum is a good site to checkout for Star Wars figs.

nice condition first 12 figures bring good change. any variants and also ledys and trilogos will too, usually have no copyright/date info. you can find those mixed in domestic lots. the key is condition and weapons. i use to sell a ton on star wars figures on the evilbay back in the day.

There are so many Star Wars variants no it gets crazy, like which shade of gray is your Ig-88 or does your Tusken Raider have solid eyes or hollow point eyes. Then there's the ones no one seems to care about that actually make a big difference like Lando with teeth or without or White Hair Ben or Gray Hair Ben. There's a variant on the boots of the Blue Snaggletooth too (dent or no dent) Some of the others to look out for though are Blue Saber Luke Jedi with a snap cape, Luke brown hair is better than blond (either Tatooine or Bespin but especially Tatooine). Yoda with a brown snake isn't bad either. Bespin Leia is with and without turtle neck. Bib Fortuna and Squid Head came with red capes on the Ledy versions and are sometimes $500 figures if you ever find those. There's also a Han Endor variant with and without camouflaged lapels but I think thats one no one cares about. Really though too many to mention.

And then there are the smock color variants on Ugnaughts. You also have Leia in her Hoth outfit with different shades of brown hair. Bespin Guards come with different style mustaches. AT-AT Drivers also have different colors for their Imperial logos. There's just too many to list.

This site is a good photographic reference archive for vintage SW figure variants:
