Need Help ID'ing An Old Sci-Fi Flick.

I was watching a program on the National Geographic channel about the possibility of ET visits in the past and I learned one thing- I haven't seen enough 50's Sci-Fi movies.

Anyway, they kept showing clips from a movie that I faintly recognize. There is a human astronaut in a cave with an "alien" whi is explaining something to him on some sort of viewscreen. The alien was human by all appearances except he had these big bulging eyeballs. He was dressed in all black, including a tight headpiece that covered his neck, ears and hair. Only his face was revealed. It was really those clearly fake, bulging eyeballs that defined his look.

Wow, you're good. A quick search reveals this to be the movie. Thanks.

If you want to see it, get the Film Crew version of it. Much more enjoyable that way.

They sure liked reusing costumes for the old B-Sci Fi- movies. The same outfit the Phantom wore in his movies.

^^^ The Phantom's from the serial was much better fitting.
