    Mego?EMCE toys press release

I don't think you guys have seen these pics yet. So I apologize to Histrionic Spock from the other thread:Replica Chat CTVT, Castaway, EMCE, etc., if this duplicates too much. My internet access has been down so I am not all up-to-date.

A friend of mine forwarded this to me from Trekmovie.com. It shows a retro Checkov figure and Cheron figure and mentions Diamond is considering their own Bridge Playset-tho details have yet to be finalized:

    The article:

Toy Fair Report: Lots Of New Trek From Diamond Select | TrekMovie.com

    The pics:

I hope the reason the Chekov head looks so off is because it's a resin prototype. That paint job doesn't do James' sculpt justice. Compared to this, the Playmates shrink looks more accurate.

These are my old Doc Megos that Dave painted for me a couple of years ago. I sold them in anticipation of the EMCE releases. Even if the EMCEs don't look as close likeness wise, I still prefer the vinyl head.

      Hello
I bought the checov and sulu like you. They are really very well done.
I take this first message to introduce myself.
I am a fan of all series of star trek. But the original series is the most successful. I have a collection of star trek mego. Original, customs and now a portion of retro mego.
I have not yet the Andorian and spock.
I am glad to find so many people who continue with the retro mego these great figures. My English is not perfect.
I hope that there are no bad translation. In Belgium, there is not much star trek fans. But they are faithful

Your English is fine... Your post had better grammar and spelling than a lot of the US people who post on this board.

Good luck with your STAR TREK collection.

The Chekov mold looks pretty good.
          I would buy one.

I've seen the bridge pic before, but not the Chekov/Cheron pic. Chekov's sculpt isn't perfect I agree and the black half on Cheron's suit looks brownish

I think Checkov will fit in great with my bridge crew.
