The Lego/Starcom connection?

So I got one of the new Lego Blindbag robots yesterday and I immediately recognized the logo on his chest....It's the symbol for the bad guys in Starcom....Coincidence?

Starcom was Mattel.
That logo is a common geometric design... maybe that's how they can get away with it.

I loved Starcom... I probably should have been too old to be into them, but they were a great toy line.
