Superman und Batman German Comic Book Promo Sign

Found this cool old German promo comic book sign on eBay recently. Not sure of the date, though... anyone have any clue?

Wow, that is REALLY nice. I love stuff like this. I detect Kurt Schaffenberger in the Superman myself. He kind of bridged the gap between the more cartoony Boring and illustrative Swan, and this looks like his line work and Superman profile to me.

This thing is all kinds of cool. Thanks for sharing!

Hmm, you might be right about the Schaffenberger art on those. I tend to default to Swan by that era, and that's probably a mistake... I'll have to look into it.

Definitely Kurt Schaffenberger on Supes...The "S" shield is a giveaway. Is that an Infantino Batman? And where is his chest emblem?

Thanks, Chris and Anthony. I've updated my article to reflect that it's Kurt Schaffenberger, not Swan art.

Batman is at least inked by Murphy Anderson. It's almost impossible to tell in these type of poses if Infantino did pencils or not, since Anderson tends to overpower him quite a bit.
