EXCELLENT (air guitar). LOVE the first one. clever for it's time and very funny. Second one not so much. Still when it's on I will sit though commercials to watch it, I just won't buy it

Who knew that keeanu could make a career out of "WHOA"

Call me crazy .....
For some reason, I like BOGUS JOURNEY better then Excellent Adventure

KISS's "God Gave Rock and Roll To You" was a perfect wrap up song to the movie.

I remember when the second movie was announced, it was originally going to be called "Bill and Ted Go to Hell". I think that was a better title. I really like Death in the 2nd one, but the first one was more fun. "Bogus Journey" seemed a bit more cynical.

When my son gets a bit older, I want to watch these with him. The language is a little more than I'm comfortable with for him right now. And then there's Bill's minor Oedipus complex.

I think I remember reading that in a Starlog or Comics Scene magazine. I know it's true, becasue I remember being honked off that they wussed out on the title.

What do you guys think of some critics that say Bill and Ted just ripped off Doctor Who ?
With the phone-booth time machine and all ?

Me personally, I think Bill and Ted was a COOL homage to Doctor Who --- at that time Doctor Who was at it's lowest point in history.

I kinda thought that too; but they took it somwhere completely different so it was just a minor thing to me. Actually; I'd heard the movie was based on an RPG campaign they'd been playing.

The first film is absolutely brilliant! The second ruined Terminator 2 for me; since they'd thought the core idea: time travel, out a LOT better than T2 did.

Bill and Ted flicks are awesome ... first is better IMO but I love them both. I rented the first one when it first came out on VHS and watched it like 8 times in a row ... I was in Jr. High

"Bill and Ted Go to Hell (USA) (working title)"
Ted: Dude!
Bill: What?
Ted: Hell sucks!
Bill: Yes really!

My oldest son loves the first one, we have the DVD but I never ordered the 2nd I don't think. They didn't have it first time I tried to order it from Columbia House I think.

I predicted the Battleship scene and I was sold. I was SOO afraid the movie would stink. Then the scene at Vasquez Rocks was too much. AWESOME!!!

I got called "Bill S. Preston Esquire" for about 10 years after the first movie came out. Was hilarious for the first year or two.

I also remember a guy at Uni who used "Strange moves are afoot, at the Circle K dude." whenever something was a bit weird, which lasted for about five years too.

As you can tell I'm just not quite ready for a B&T revival :googly:

Will

PS -I remember seeing the Aussie band "Big Pig" perform live a couple of times in the early 90's, they were a great act, no guitars if I recall correctly. They are responsible for the opening song "Breakaway" in the first movie. Oh god I'm reviving this crap myself now.

I loved the first one, I liked the second one. One of my greatest triumphant moments was tracking down the Van Halen 5150 shirt that Ted wore, with everyone in straight jackets. I've been through 3-4 copies of the first soundtrack, and currently I have it on tape, but not CD. I finally found it on CD again, when my truck was broken into...still have the second soundtrack on tape & CD. Anyone ever buy a box of the cereal? check this out: Wholesale Lot of 12 1991 Bill Ted Cereal Boxes NEW NR - eBay (item 160211516385 end time Feb-29-08 17:07:19 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/Wholesale-Lot-of-12-1991-Bill-Ted-Cereal-Boxes-NEW-NR_W0QQitemZ160211516385QQihZ006QQcategoryZ35QQssP ageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
