    The Thanagarian Invasion Starts...NOW!

We arrive back from another successful Mego Meet to find an invasion of Hawkpeople.

We begin today's post with my custom Hawkgirl. Boots, mace and wings from Dr Mego, head enlargement, paints and suit by yours truly.

Her head is an enlargement of this head

Hawkman: Boots and wings from Dr Mego, head enlargement, paints and suit by yours truly. Can't remember where the mace comes from. A little help would be appreciated.

His head is an enlargement of this head.

Golden Age Hawkman: Boots and wings from Dr Mego, head enlargement, paints and suit by yours truly.

Inspired by the back cover of this limited collector's edition Justice League over-sized comic.

His head is an enlargement of this head.

Here we have Hawkman and Hawkgirl taking on an alien invasion.

Golden Age Hawkman joins his pal Golden Age Flash in the Justice Society of America.

Mego Wonder Woman and Mego Supergirl welcome Hawkgirl to the Justice League of America.

I struggled with a couple things with these customs. First, I did not give Hawkman and Hawkgirl "eyes". As a kid I only remember them in the comics with "white" eyes. I know it is customary for Mego to include eyes but I went with my childhood recollections.

Secondly, I am pretty sure they would have made a printed suit for Hawkgirl, it went with the Super Gals line. But, the two Hawkmen, I am not so sure. If they made them before 1975 they may have used a Tarzan flesh upper body with straps criss-crossing the front. After 1975 they may have just had straps criss-crossing his bare chest similar to Conan.

Regardless, this is how I interpreted them and I am pretty pleased.

I hope you enjoy these customs as much as I do, and, as always, thanks for looking!

    Peace, Love and Megos,

    Austin

They all look great, but I'm partial to the golden- age Hawkman, too.

Nice job Austin! I have a Hawkman also and I am thinking of making the yellow masked golden age one so that I can separate Hawkman to the JLA shelf and place the new one with the yellow mask on my JSA shelf. Right now he's confused! LOL

                Keep 'em coming buddy!

That is fantastic work. I really don't know how FTC could improve on any of those designs.

If you painted eyes, they would have a very Superfriends vibe to them.
