I'm in the planning stage for assortment two of The Six Million Dollar Man action figures and would like to get some input on the Oscar Goldman head sculpt. Which one would be the best choice from the two versions that Kenner did for the large scale figures, Maskatron (A) or the original version (B)? Or, should I let my sculptor do something original based on the actor's (Richard Anderson) likeness?

B for me. Would be interesting to see what your sculptor comes up with on his own though.Comment

Based on feedback I'm getting from Facebook and here it seems like "B" is the clear winner. The original Kenner Maskatron Steve Austin mask was used as a reference for the head sculpt on the small figure. My sculptor basically tried to replicate that as much as he could at that scale. For Oscar Goldman I'll have him use both the Kenner figure and images of the actor as references. Hopefully this way he'll be able to capture a good mix of both in the sculpt.Comment

And actually, A looks a little more like a Steve Austin and Oscar Goldman mash-up. Never noticed that before.Comment
