5 figures for my first commission!!

    custom Black Panther.jpgcustom Hourman.jpgcustom Nova.jpgcustom Steel.jpgcustom White Tiger.jpg
I'm so proud to actually get paid to do something like this! They were a ton of work but I'm very happy with how they turned out.
All heads from BL, phenomenal Nova costume also by Brian. Seriously that suit is a thing of beauty!
Bodysuits, Black Panther's belt, and Nova's and Hourman's boots from DM. Steel's boots are from CTVT.
I painted everything (including the costumes! Steel and Hourman wear painted suits)
Steel features a handmade star and the design is also mirrored on the back! That was a first for me.
Hourman has a craft foam belt and an hourglass from a small plastic figure (DC universe? I can't remember)
White Tiger sports a tiny "jade" necklace and I used white ribbon for his ankles.

                          thanks everybody!
it sure was nice to actually get paid for doing something I've been doing for free.
Brian's Nova costume is incredible! there's no way in heck I could have made anything that good.
for the Panther's wrists and ankles I used some left over material which I dyed black so it would contrast with the shiny DM suit, then I drew the lines with liquid fabric paint (the same stuff I used way back for Dr. Strange's cape design)
I did that first before I cut them to fit so the lines would be as clean as possible. Panther actually looked great with just the shiny black suit and the belt, kind of a minimalist look, but I wanted to mimic the Kirby costume.
I wanted each figure to have a unique "look" or texture. that's why I wound up painting Hourman's costume black and yellow instead of just cutting the top off a yellow one and the bottom off a black one. that way Panther and Hourman wouldn't look too similar.
Steel was a MAJOR pita!! I first tried to cut out a white pattern and glue it onto the red suit but it wasn't working. so I decided to try again with painting the white directly onto the suit. I used acrylic and it took many careful coats to get as sharp an edge as possible because of the texture of the fabric. I also painted his shorts and boots so they would be the same shade of blue.
I also want to thank PNGwynne for trading me a red suit.
and if anyone can contact actjac01 for me, tell him I've been trying to send pms but his inbox is full. I also tried emailing him but got no response.

Really nice. BL is the best.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.
