Hellboy!!

I rerere-did Hellboy yet again, originally I set out to make him look more like Mignola's art in the face and body. Somewhere along the way he ended up looking more like a Jack Kirby version. I also wanted to do away with the painted body and decided to do a suit for the skin. Belt, Right Hand of Doom, and cigar from the last version. Body is a skinny Urban Icons under a stretch velvet suit padded and thread sculpted muscles, shorts from the Urban Icons figure. I sculpted the head over a generic bald head and sculpted the hooves. Tail has bendy wire in it to pose and the hair came from a kids Mighty Moustache set by JaRu toys found at Big Lots. I have to dress him in his coat for his final shots and probably set him up fighting the Robot Monster or Frankenstein.

I love the plush muscles (pluscles) on this. What's grest about the sculpt is it really looks like a Ron Perlman caricature. Awesome figire again. And yes you should continue the line.

They referred to his as a red ape in the movie an a big red monkey in the comics, sooo it works. Thanks all and I will get trenchcoat pics today.

Coat added, I reused my old coat from Dragon, just trashed it a bit to reflect the comics more, usually its ratty looking and full of holes.




Also working on regular horns with the crown of hell.
