    Golden Age Johnny Thunder

Here's Johnny Thunder! The fourth figure in the first wave of 5 for my Justice Society of America line.

I like this goofy guy and he was pretty easy to make. Not overly thrilled at how baggy the suit still is, but it'll do.
    Here's the recipe:
    DC RA Shazam head re-painted
    Cast A Way body
    CTVT green suit
Bowtie is from Cast A Way and dyed red
    CTVT white socks
    Doc Mego black shoes
The green CTVT suit was way baggy, so I moved the snap over quite a bit and that tightened up the mid section, but in my opinion, it's still a bit bulky in the shoulders. Other than that, I'm happy with him. Hope y'all enjoy him and lemme know what you think.

cool, you got his pet Thunderbolt planned?? I think the baggy suit is fine for him, works for the geeky look of the character.

He looks great. Suits were worn bulkier back in the 40s. I think you did a fine job with him and an excellent choice of head. I used blond ctvt Dick Grayson head on my version, but like yours better.

Wonderful! I suggest you contact PMWasson for a pink acrylic T-Bolt--that would look so cool as a stand-up beside the character.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Yeah, I agree, the bulky suit actually works well. Great job!

I have a couple ideas for Thunderbolt. One is the pink acrylic stand up like mentioned. The other is kinda a hybrid stand up/figure. The hybrid would be cool and I think would look Suh-weet! as a stand alone figure. I think the standee would be more along the lines of an accessory for JT...I'm gonna explore the options more in the near future.
Thanks all for the kind words on both customs posted today.
