I noticed today that parts from the Kiss figures can be bought individually now. Heres a chance to skip the bodies if you have held off on them in the past. They should be great with a drmego body OR you could try a Kiss custom.

These are the Sonic Boom parts. Hope they add the other series as parts as well, then we could be doing all sorts of customs, including other costumes, Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent. Nice!!!Comment

Interesting. I wonder why Sonic Boom parts only? Maybe the new style figures didn't sell too well.
Thanks!Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

If I wasn't cutting back my collection, I may have pulled the trigger on the 8" heads. $5 a piece is pretty good, and done my own dressed to kill customs. For $65 you can get all the pieces and pop them on DM bodies. Pop the Gene head on a Granny Walton body and dress and you've got a great dream sequence Grandma from Happy Gilmore.Last edited by megocrazy; May 24, '13, 4:41 PM.It's not a doll it's an action figure.Comment

They have some great parts like Ace's boots from the 2nd series and Gene's boots from Monster. I didn't see those but maybe they'll make it at a later date.If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.Comment

Bingo! I knew this was coming. Why take the bullet on these figures when you can buy the parts and customize for a fraction of the price? Glad I held up after series one. And speaking of series one, please note the price of those figures are now ...$14.99 - loose.Last edited by MIB41; May 25, '13, 8:59 AM.Comment

I love the idea of the parts being available, I'm just having a creative block on what I can do with them.Comment

^^^ Personally I think it always should've been more of an accessory based line instead of a multi-figure line. Had they packaged the outfits (ala-Captain Action style) and sold those separately to host one base set of KISS figures, I think they would have made more money, instead of investing in all of these bodies and forcing people to pick. In a market where customizing figures is rampant, people can alter the makeup paints themselves to fit a particular era. And they can do it better than a production paint job ever did. But either way, they have arrived at the same place, so I guess the point is made.Comment

I picked up the Sonic Boom Gene (loose) for $11.99. For that price, I wasn't going to complain. I was going to part him out for a custom. But to my surprise, I found the figure to be actually durable, so I decided to keep him as is. And as critical as I've been of FTC, I have to say I was impressed overall by the figure. The head still needs some work. But the body was much better than the Series One KISS figures. He posed well and overall I was happy with him at this price point. So thumbs up to FTC. They made a descent figure here. I'll be getting some of the loose Hotter than Hell figures at those prices and see how they do. It's a shame FTC doesn't tone down the packaging and sell these carded (or boxed) for a better price. They would get so much more business. But I wanted to chime in. I took the dive at that price point and found the quality to be much better than what I had seen in recent years. I like good surprises. Good job guys.Comment
